Boys and Girls, welcome to your very own space! Here are the activities we are going to complete for this unit. If you have any trouble please ask for help. Miss Southern
Blog Activity:
This is the blogging task which you will add to each week. At the start of each week, I will post up a question and you will respond to with with a comment you have written. You should respond to the question as part of your weekly homework by the end of the week on Friday, if you cant add a comment by this date or are having troubles using the site after we have explored it together you need to ask me for help or ask one of you class mates. If you find any videos or interesting material on Traditional Indigenous Games and/or gross motor skills which you think are interesting email them to me with the link and I can post them up for you or add them to our YouTube channel. If you need help in using this site please ask myself or one of your classmates for help. Below are the steps to follow:
Click on the 'Blog Activity' link below.
In your homework books you have the user name and password which you will need to log in with.
Answer the weeks question. For example the first weeks question you will answer is 'Do you know what gross motor skills are? What are examples of gross motor skills being used?'
At the bottom of this question you will see the words written 'comments'.
Click on it.
Add your answer to the question.
Click on post comment.
Remember when writing your comment that you sign your name at the end of it.
We will continue to add comments to the blog until we finish our unit.

YouTube Activity WARNING: Parents this site can allow the students to search videos which may not be appropriate, we do not have control of this. All the videos placed on the channel I have given them are all appropriate and relevant to their unit of work.
This is our YouTube activity. Here we can explore videos which I have been added onto our channel. Later on in the unit we will film some of the Traditional Indigenous Games we have played and upload them onto YouTube so other people can use them. If you find an appropriate video that relates to Traditional Indigenous Games or gross motor skills, you may send me the link and I can add it to our channel if I think it is appropriate. The videos on the channel will help you gain more understanding on Traditional Indigenous Games and gross motor skills. In the blog, there is a section where you may discuss the videos. If you need help remember to just ask. Below are some simple steps to help you with this activity:
Click on the 'YouTube Activity' link below.
This will take you directly to our class channel.
Here you can view all the videos I have added for you to watch. (You may need to allow the video to buffer in order to watch it properly).
Make a comment on the blogpage about the video/s you watched.
At the end of this unit we will add our own videos to YouTube. For us to do this the steps are as follows:
The password and user name given you will be used to log onto our channel.
At the top of the screen the word 'upload' is written.
Click on this.
Because we have already added our videos to the computer, click the yellow box which says 'upload video'.
Find and select your video.
Wait for the video to upload.
In the 'title' section I would like you to call it "(the name of the game) Traditional Indigenous Games". If you have trouble with this please ask.
In the 'description' section I would like you to give a brief description of the video. No more the 50 words.
Ask Miss Southern to check the 'title' and 'description' before you upload it.
You may then upload the video and you are complete.

Below is the list of things to do:
Click on the '280 slides' activity.
When the page loads click on 'open an existing presentation'
Using the user name and password i have given to you in your homework books log in.
Click on the 'Traditional Games' file.
Under the last persons slide add in this information in order.
The information that you have found about the background on where the game came from.
How many players are needed.
